Modelled on a food bank, this Toronto charity accepts donations of good quality, useable furniture to help low-income people set up a new home. Furniture Bank clients must be referred by a local social services agency and must provide a list of what they need beforehand. They can arrange to pick-up your donations for a small fee. They are rigourous about what they will take in as about whom they will give it to.
